Iron Baraga Conservation District is one of Michigan's 77 Conservation Districts. We are providers of natural resource management services and information. Our goal is simple: To help local citizens manage their lands and preserve our environment.
Soil & Water Conservation Districts started during the dust bowl years. Iron Conservation District and Baraga Conservation District merged on Feb 9th, 2016 and formed the Iron Baraga Conservation District. We now serve both Iron and Baraga Counties.
Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you. Funding for our programs, projects, workshops, and outreach events come from our tree sale, grants, contracts, and donations.
Members of the public can provide input or ask questions during the general public comment period at the beginning and end of each meeting.
Accommodations for persons with disabilities may be requested by contacting the Iron Baraga Conservation District via email at ironbaragacd@gmail.com at least two weeks prior to the scheduled event.
Requests made after that time will be honored if possible.
